Easy to Turn: There are Easy Turn screwdriver slots cut on the outside of these steering derby axles, so the axles can be turned with a screwdriver without creating damage. Graphite Coating: Pinewood Pro’s graphite coating on each axle shaft makes them the fastest axles out there. That’s because the perma coat stays put and lasts through multiple races! Strategic Grooves: Each of these polished derby axles features a groove on the shaft to reduce wheel friction. There is also an additional groove under the axle heads to eliminate wheel wobble. Minimized Friction: In addition to the graphite coating, these angled axles are also strategically polished and nickel plated to reduce friction as much as possible for additional speed advantages. We start with Pinewood Pro's PRO nickel-plated two-groove machined axles.
Next, we bend them 2.5 degrees so you can cant your wheels, which drives the wheel away from the car body to minimize wheel-car body friction.
Then, we cut an Easy Turn slot in each axle head so you can easily turn the axle with a screwdriver without damaging it.
Lastly, we graphite coat the shaft of the axle so the graphite stays on your axles—right through the District Race!


Additional Features:
The shaft of each axle is graphite coated to minimize friction.
There are two grooves cut in each shaft to reduce friction and wheel wobble.
The grooves act as a place to store graphite.
Note: The axle heads are not graphite coated.


It is very difficult to see a 2.5 degree bend with the naked eye. Roll the axle on a flat surface to see the bend as it rolls.
