GOD of the WORD is a series of eight Bible studies that takes you through the Bible from beginning to end. The systematic approach reveals the overall story of the Bible, encourages application to everyday life, and is helpful to anyone whether they have never opened a Bible or have studied it for many years. The GOD of the WORD format encourages students to dig into Bible passages for themselves before reading commentary or hearing teaching on it. This is accomplished through a three-step process, which begins with personal Bible reading and the answering of fifteen weekly questions. The second step is small group discussion. Finally, participants watch a summarizing video. This start-on-your-own approach allows an understanding of the passages to develop progressively (an ideal way to learn), and deepens personal conviction that God’s word is indeed living and active.
