This starter assembly is a critical part of the blower, and without it, the blower will not start. When the recoil starter system is engaged, the operator may manually crank the engine to get it moving fast enough to start all of the blower's internal operational systems. However, due to the high frequency of use, your recoil starter may fail when the spring slides out of place, or the pulley or recoil housing has worn, and the spring no longer sits in the housing correctly. Your recoil starter may lose tension and starting the engine becomes impossible. Now, you will need to replace your old and worn-out recoil starter with a new one. Luckily, this is a simple fix. When this happens, you can fix your recoil starter in about 20 minutes.

EASY TO INSTALL
This is an easy fix and you are even just a little bit handy with tools. You just need to follow 04 simple steps:
1. Disconnect the spark plug wire and remove the blower housing
2. Remove the recoil starter guard and release the retainer clips
3. Remove the old recoil starter and snap the new one into position
4. Snap the recoil starter guard and the blower housing back into position
Don’t forget to wear work gloves to protect your hands when installing this part.
