Denae Named after the mother of Perseus, the similarities end there. Her cousins fear her, afraid of her anger from years past that could harm or kill them. Her hair and eyes are an unnatural earthy yellow. Calling her irises dark citrine is generous and doesn’t make it easier for people to look into them. Her rather extended family are all practitioners of magic. Many miles of the forested lands of northern Wisconsin are their abode. With the family’s use of magic, they don’t fit well in the mundane world of the late 1970s. Denae hasn’t even bothered with town for years, except as necessity dictates. The forest is her home.
