These are individual stories that aren't well known. My son and I enjoyed looking them up after we read a chapter and reading about it. The chickens had different personalities, and each story had a different perspective. Many of the stories were not as well known, it was fun to research some of the events later to find out more. I love this author, and I have enjoyed all of her books! The World War II book did not disappoint.
