The creation of this book was not just an act of writing; it was a spiritual war. With the support of a loa — a spirit from Haitian Vodou — I was plunged into an intense battle between good and evil as I worked to recycle the words of my ancestors. This battle nearly consumed me. I nearly lost my life in the struggle and, at my lowest point, considered ending it myself. However, I was stopped by the clear voice of the emperor: “It is cowardly to go out like this. Fight until your last breath. This is the instruction I gave you.” With the support of my family, I spent almost two weeks in a psychiatric facility, healing and gaining a profound understanding of Ephesians 6:12: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” And they almost won.
